This archive is an ongoing project documenting the places I visited since 2023. After each trip, I go through the process of reconstructing my impression of the city, relying on the photographic records taken during the visit. There are multiple aspects that define the unique characteristics of each city: typography found on the streets, specific architectural structures influenced by the regional climatic conditions, the flora and the fauna, the texture of the light, transportation systems, or even the way people dress. By selecting, editing and arranging individual photographs in a grid format, a bigger picture is formed.
The type of the photographs varies depending on the length of the stay. While photographs taken during the short trips are more like a collection of generic specimens to learn unfamiliar spaces, those taken in the city where I am currently living consists of more personal and closely observed moments. This practice aims to understand how I/we perceive, remember, and sometimes emotionally connect with the spatial surroundings we inhabit.
